Description
- The spindle boxes develop early counting skills and develop the association between quantity and the number symbols 0-9.
- Importantly, they teach the concept of zero.
- The wooden boxes have ten numbered compartments into which the child counts the corresponding number of tactile wooden spindles.
- Many people prefer the split spindle boxes as the numbers 0-4 can be isolated and taught first. They are also easier for a child to carry.
- 45 shaped wooden spindles (not plain rods) are supplied in the separate wooden box shown.
